Why appearance and health belong together

A tooth looks harmonious when it is healthy and fits well into the row of teeth. Inflamed gums, decay or an uneven bite also show in the appearance over time. We therefore treat the cause first. We talk about the appearance as a second step. In this way a result usually stays stable for longer.

Veneers for the visible front teeth

Veneers are wafer thin facing shells made of ceramic. We fix them to the front surface of the front teeth. They can even out discolouration, close small gaps and make slight irregularities look calmer.

For veneers only a little tooth substance is usually removed. They are not suitable for every tooth, though, for example with heavy grinding or with large defects. Whether they suit your situation is something we check together with you beforehand.

Crowns made of full ceramic

If a tooth is more badly damaged, a crown often helps, that is a cap over the whole tooth. Full ceramic manages without a metal framework. It lets light through in a similar way to natural enamel and therefore stands out little in the mouth. We match colour and shape to your remaining teeth.

Tooth jewellery and brighter teeth

Small tooth jewellery is glued onto the tooth without drilling. It can be taken off again later without leaving residue. If it is mainly the colour of your teeth that bothers you, whitening is often the calmer route. It manages without any grinding down and does not change the tooth substance.
